关守是LAN上的一个H.323实体,为H.323终端和网关提供到LAN的地址转换和控制存取。网守可以为H.323终端和网关提供其他服务,例如带宽管理和网关位置。网守维护多媒体网络中设备的注册。在启动时,设备箱网守进行注册,并且请求接收由网守发起的呼叫。

此网络是一个简单的拓扑,包含两个Cisco AS5300网关。一个网关在圣何塞,另一个网关在罗利。在每个站点,都有一个在Cisco 3640上运行的网守配置。在本部分显示的拓扑中,在两个网关之间进行简单的VoIP呼叫时,实际上并不需要网守。但该图中包含一个网守,用于显示完整配置的外观。
此拓扑的Cisco网守配置与常规VoIP实施不同,其方式如下:
网关设置的每个网关使用h323-gateway voip接口命令向本地网守注册到。在本例中,网关为AS5300,网守为3640。
dial-peer voice 2 voip 命令中的会话目标指向注册、准入和状态(RAS),而不是相应的ipv4:ip地址。RAS执行以下任务:
定义网关向网守注册的位置
发送每个呼叫的准入请求
为呼叫执行特定状态信息轮询
在H.323网络中,每个区域有一个主网守。网守可以控制区域中的多个网关或终端H.323设备。在本节说明的配置中,呼叫路由到适当的区域和网守。然后,网守使用注册网关的IP地址回复呼叫请求,该网关的技术前缀(tech-prefix)与被叫号码匹配。
这些步骤说明网守进程如何工作。罗利侧的电话向圣荷西侧的电话发出呼叫:
Raleigh 5300A接收从PBX到4085556400的呼叫,该电话连接到San Jose PBX。
此号码与拨号对等体语音2 voip下的号码匹配,并且技术前缀为408#。
对Raleigh网守Raleigh 3640A的准入请求包括技术前缀和被叫号码,格式为408#4085556400。

Raleigh网守向San Jose网守San Jose 3640A发送位置请求。
由于圣荷西网守配置包含技术前缀为408#的圣荷西5300A,因此圣荷西网守向罗利网守回复San Jose 5300 IP地址。
此IP地址通过准入确认(ACF)转发到Raleigh 5300A。
Raleigh 5300A与圣荷西5300A打开一通正常的H.323电话。
