The settings of some DrayTek routers, including the Vigor2862, may have a default configuration that prevents the CBW Primary access point (AP) from communicating with the router. This can cause problems with CBW functionality, such as obtaining an IP address.
The issue is that the Primary AP uses a VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol) MAC address of 00:00:5e:00:01:01, which the DrayTek router does not accept by default. This default setting may block VRRP MAC addresses from being entered into its ARP table.
Details to resolve this configuration are available in the following DrayTek document: Show VRRP MAC in the ARP table. In this workaround, you disable “Decline VRRP MAC into the ARP Table” in the router settings and save the configuration changes.
This should have solved your compatibility conflict. If you have any further questions about the router configuration, check with your vendor.
