Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is a network configuration protocol for hosts on IP networks. DHCP provides IP addresses and a default route and routing prefix for computers. When DHCP Relaying is enabled, a DHCP client without an IP address can communicate with the server via DHCP relay agents.
