CSCvu53524 | NMTG SmartServices For OAM To PingAccess Migration |
The current authentication method, OAuth Authentication Method (OAM), used to create support cases and download software updates in Cisco Prime Infrastructure will be decommissioned by 2020-06-30. Until further notice, Cisco.com users will not be able to authenticate to open a service request for assistance from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) using the existing "Support Cases" option in Prime Infrastructure. Also, any additional Cisco.com users added after 2020-06-30 on the Prime Infrastructure account settings page will not be able to authenticate or download Prime Infrastructure related software updates and/or device packages from the Administration > Software Update page.
The current authentication methods in Prime Infrastructure use the OAM service for authentication. After 2020-07-01, this OAM service will be decommissioned and will be replaced with multifactor authentication through PingAccess.
If a user enters their Cisco.com credentials on any of these pages in Prime Infrastructure, authentication will fail.
Upgrade to Prime Infrastructure 3.7.1 update 02, 3.8 update 02, or later versions which support the new authentication method.
Note: For software downloads, use the Software Download page to install UBF files.
