This has been fixed and customers are requested to migrate/upgrade to the latest release in order to overcome this issue: - 15.5(2)S3 (XE Version 3.15.3) - 15.5(3)S2a (XE Version 3.16.2a or later) - 15.6(1)S1 (XE Version 3.17.1 or later) - 15.6(2)S (XE Version 3.18 or later)Cisco has identified a memory leak on certain software versions associated with the ASR 900 Series routers (ASR 902/903/907/920).
This memory leak is due to a defect, Cisco bug ID CSCux91894, which causes a memory leak with the default configuration.A memory leak on the ASR 900 Series routers is seen under the iomd process and even when the node state is idle.
When executed, this command shows the increased memory leak under spa_xcvr_oir. #show platform software memory iomd 0/0 brief The increased memory leak might cause the router to crash and reboot multiple times.Cisco recommends that you upgrade to a later release based on your current Cisco IOS-XE version in order to overcome this issue.
