After the Microsoft security updates are applied on the client (AW client and ISE), and the user tries to open the script editor in order to make changes to a script, the user notices that the script editor closes abruptly.
This crash happens with a Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) connection from the AW or an RDP connection to a Win2008R2 server with the Cisco Unified UCCE program loaded.
Workaround
As a workaround for this issue, you must uninstall these Microsoft Security Updates:
- KB3057839
- KB3058515
- KB3059317
- KB3063858
Solution
For a permanent solution to this issue, you must download and install Engineering Special (ES). Note that the ES patch will resolve the issue with the Microsoft KB files still on the server. The ES patch must be installed on both the Distributor and Client AW.
- UCCE 8.5
8.5(x) is End of Software Maintenance Support. Cisco's recommendation is to upgrade to Release 9.0(4) or later and apply the appropriate Engineering Special (ES) accordingly.
