Products Affected MDS SSI - 3.2(3n)
An SSM module in MDS series switch may unexpectedly reload due to memory corruption in the VSD process. This problem only affects SSI software images.
This problem only affects the following SSI software file:
m9000-ek9-ssi-mz.3.2.3n.bin
This memory corruption issue could be hit if the MDS receives a PLOGI from a host when it is already logged in the VT. In this case, the PRLI/LOGO frame buffer that is maintained in the MDS is overwritten with the PLOGI frame. This may overrun the buffer, leading to memory corruption.
An SSM module in an MDS series switch may unexpectedly reload due to memory corruption.
The problem is corrected in MDS SSI image version 3.2(3r) and later.
