PA-SRP Port Adapters when coupled with a NPE-G1 will fail boot-up when used with the following :
CISCO7206VXR (midplane) HW version 2.8 or newer - 800-04667-11 CISCO7204VXR (midplane) HW version 2.8 or newer - 800-04766-11
For the purposes of this Field Notice, the term PA-SRP refers to the Port Adapters listed in the Products Affected section, above.
The incompatibility between the PA-SRPs and the products listed above in the Problem Description section are due to a change implemented in January of 2004. PCN E076429, which implemented the newer PCI Bridge.
The symptom will be that the PA-SRPs will not boot-up.
