Cisco ONS 15454 12-Port SFP-Based Multi-rate Optics Card

The Cisco ONS 15454 12-Port SFP-Based multi-rate optics card (MRC) features small form pluggable (SFP) optics modules enabling support for STM-1/4/16 SDH or OC-3/12/48 SONET compliant interfaces with optical reaches including; short-reach, intermediate-reach, long-reach, as well as wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) for improved fiber utilization levering coarse WDM (CWDM) or dense WDM (DWDM) wavelength plans. The twelve (12) ports are independently provisionable, and the card supports STM-1/4/16 SDH or OC-3/12/48 SONET compliant interfaces. Each interface operates over fiber spans via small form factor pluggable (SFP) optics. Optical interfaces support unprotected, SNC/UPSR, MS-SPR/BLSR (2-Fiber and 4-Fiber), or 1+1 line switch protected topologies as per ITU G.957 and Telcordia GR-253-CORE.
